this question would benefit every beginner in the field of rafting.. but this also concerns even the professionals.. how fit should one really be to be able to go rafting?

In rafting (and in any activity), you can be as active as you would like to.. But for rafting and for doing the maneuvers, u must be reasonably healthy to be able to move the raft down the rapids.. It can be tiring, of course, but there's so much fun to learn! I suggest though that you should check with your doctor before you go paddling.

during rafting trips, you'll be the one to paddle your boats.. that means, you are the active source for the boat to be able to move and to be maneuvered through the rapids. that's why you should be fairly healthy to do that and you must be fit to be able to put your PFDs on! and if you're still doubting your physical fitness, you can always check with your doctor before you go out for a paddle..

just judge your fitness identity and condition: if you're sure with
yourself that you are taking a regular exercise and you're living a
healthy lifestyle, then you're good to go! No need to worry about any
physical conditions when you going out on a river rafting..

As long as one could handle the paddle well and not feeling sick- then you are fit for rafting.
