I am thinking of taking my son white water rafting in a few weeks. Is this a good season to do this? Are there any companies you would recommend?

The linked page made reference to Clear Creek (near Golden), but that
will likely be un-runnable or at least fairly boring this time of year.
Most places in Colorado are running pretty low by August, for
commercially guided trips, I would recommend heading up to Buena Vista
and taking a trip on the Arkansas. The Numbers rapids will be low-water
but still enjoyable as they get highly technical. The water there is
also dam-released so it stays higher than the natural rivers.

There are lots of companies that could organize a tour for you. But then before that, you should plan the place where you are interested to go rafting. I recommend Antalya, Turkey. I have never been there, but based on stories I've read from people who have experienced it, its worth your money and time.
