i have plans of buying a cataraft or raft for float hunting and fly fishing but i want something i where i can put my fishing frame in and one that can support lots of my personal gear during my float rips. what are pros & cons of a rafts over catarafts anyway? and vice versa? thank u...

cass, i think it's wiser to rent both types of boats first b4 you actually purchase your own.. so will have a first hand experience and that will help u come up with a good decision. spend your money well. try to run both wit heavy loads and compare what you're getting from each of them. goodluck!

hi. i have a couple of friends who own catarafts, one with 19ft air and other is 16ft. both are nice, lots of room for your fishing stuff, im sure. & wid cats, you could sit higher so when going for a hunt, u can stand on the rowing platform and see over a higher view compared to a raft. mine's just a raft, and i should honestly say its not that spacious. i think rafts were only made for the sole purpose of rafting as a hobby. so if u ant something more useful for other recreation activites, then go for a cat!

Best is raft if need lots of space to put your things.
