I have been looking around at buying a cataraft that is compact enough and can fit in the back of a Toyota RAV4, one i can inflate w/o a major hassle. so what do you think about Seaeagle foldcat? do you think it's worth the price? im having second thoughts because im scared of spending on something and later find out its not what i expected it to be.. thanks...

GO SHOP!! Seaeagle? sorry, i still never had the chance of riding one.. but if ur looking into an investment, go for the one with the best warranty & price! before deciding where you'll purchase it from, ask the local store if they offer repair.. nothing would twist my brain than spending my hard earned cash on something that's not worthy..

Just a thought! Best of luck with your choice.

If you have plans on hauling it in a cab, then an AIRE is not for you bec the tube & the bladder collect water between them! ubt the seaeagle is only good for playing around the lake and not as a reliable whitewater rafting gear..

Our cataraft's brand is Outcast. I like it a lot & i feel like it serves the purpose i bought it for.. It even has a standing platform where the front person can fish from.. The rear person can man the oars. The only problem is that if you get it from a local dealer in Alaska, they can handle the warranty work needed.. but then if you get it from other stores somewhere, then you will have to send it back to another place for repair..

To be honest, SeaEagle has a reputation of creating cheap & poorly-designed boats along with other better built & designed craft.. But still, their boats are not as durable as those from Aire, Sotar, Moravia, etc......

Why dont you consider a standard raft? Anyway their frames are smaller compared to a cataraft's.. And you can roll them up into smaller overall packages..

Think about it...

Definitely shop around.  Check out www.amusementwholesale.com  We sell catarafts that are very high quality at a great price.  I have run them myself in whitewater and they are light weight and very agile in the water.  If you have more questions contact Amusement Wholesale.
