when i say comfortable, that would vary for every person. mine's from Lotus Designs all their jackets are quite easy to wear all day and lots of other people like them. i tried using america's cup ultra floats too, they're good! liked them since they're warm and comes with good protection and flotation.

I have tried many vests and it only took me a single swim to find out that a 15-lb flotation PFD isnt for me. i even rented an America's Cup to see if it suits me and honestly, those weren't made for women!! i felt such a relief when i took it off at the end of the day because to me, it felt like a chest-smashing jacket!!

anyway, after trying too many variatons, i came to love Extrasport life jackets! it has 27lbs of flotation & it gives more freedom to move as compared to any other hi-flotation PFD iv tried before.

PFDs for rafting are very different from PFDs for canoeing & kayaking. A good canoe/kayak PFD can be used for rafting, but usually, it doesnt work the other way around, sometimes they are too restrictive to paddle. I only use my Ultra Float for rafting, but i would not want to use it for canoeing nor sea kayaking.

One thing I've learned is that, if a life jacket is comfortable, more people will keep them on & have them fastened properly. And if they are not comfortable with it, they unbuckle them, like how they do with other things when they search for comfort. Go somewhere that has a good selection of stuff if you can. Again & again, try out as many whitewater jackets as you can before buying one. It's always a search for quality and not a purchase to be done in a hurry!

i have the Extrasport lifejacket but i prefer the fit of that America's Cup Ultra Float. Then i guess it only brings us back to your point of finding the one that suits u. Again, everybody's different, Some of it is because of our anatomy & some are just due to preferences
