i have an avon raft with a hard bottom and it was slashed open when my stuff slided off the back of my raft. it's an 8-inch long strip in the rear area of the boat. what options do i have to look at so i can fix it?

well, i suggest that u ask a professional help for that. a damage from the back is not easy to work on. A problem as big as that should be patched from both inside & out. Professional service centres can blend such patch w/ a good quality coat to really seal everything up. again, call an authorized repair shop so you'll get an assurance of a job well done.
