what do you usually do whenever you incur accidents & injuries in rafting? because let's admit it, they're inevitable, right?? what other advice can you give other paddlers as to how to deal with getting hurt while rafting?

Be in good shape BEFORE you raft.  Take adequate instruction in Wilderness Medicine and Swiftwater Rescue.  Practice, Practice, Practice. And it goes without saying - be at the top of your game - don't drink while driving. Don't boat over your head no matter who says you can do it.  If you are not at least 70% sure you can tackle that rapid - walk.

rafting is fun & thrilling but just like any other sports, it involves risks too! you're right swiftwater, they're inevitable! the only solution i could think of on how injuries can be prevented is to give more focus on rafting equipment education, for beginners & professionals alike..

they cannot be avoided, yes.. so the least thing you can do is to at least follow the basic preventive measures in white water rafting.. like wearing your helmets, carrying lesser passengers in the raft, and not to come across the dangerous rapids..

It is indeed true that getting injuries in raftin is inevitable, but you can take precautionary measure... and also be always ready with first aid kit. If you really want to enjoy rafting, BE SAFE!!!

I started rafting since 2007 and I believe that I am still a nobody  when it comes to rafting.:) But I thank God that I or my friends have never had any rafting accidents. But we are open to the possibilities that we are close to any dangers and accidents of river rafting.
