I am currently doing a float hunt & i came across this catalog. I saw a repair tape.. Do you think it will work for a repair kit? Or do i have to stick to the old method of material & glue? Please let me know. Thanks.

there a several base fabrics used in different boats & that will dictate what u should use for your repair kit. and it wud be okay to use it for fixing small leaks permanently. but larger tears on the structure of your inflatable raft may already need the support of a regular glued patch.

A friend of mine fixed the floor of his avon raft using a duct tape. Luckily it lasted for more than 3 days! :) He still had the duct tape on the next year during his next trip. it worked! :)
Another mate used the repair tape featured on a the NRS catalog. He used it on a 7-inch tear in his tube & it stayed there for almost 12 days. He actually forgot about it. And until the end of the year, the tape still held.
That's why since then, i keep a roll of duct tape in my repair kit. And fortunately, i haven't used it yet.
