Personalize Video Application

MyVidayo and KPN, have implemented a personalized video application in Dutch Water Dreams (DWD), a whitewater sports complex in Zoetermeer, The Netherlands. Soon the personal video application enables the visitors, to download a movie of themselves engaged in the various activities in the park.
DWD has an artificial white water course, based on the one built for the Olympic games in Beijing 2008. Visitors of the park can practice outdoor rafting and kayaking and surf artificial waves on three so called FlowRiders built indoors.
The visitors of the park receive an RFID tag and their whereabouts are recorded by an RFID network and various cameras which are placed around the parks attractions. The visitors can later buy the movie which contains their personal video sequences combined with general video shots of the park on dvd or download the movie at home. The films can be ordered online, in retrospect, up to 7 days after the actual visit to the park. It is also possible to receive the DVD on location or by post.
MyVidayo has been developing personalized video application since the beginning of 2006 when it was approached by KPN to set up such a system to enable Marathon runners to download a film of themselves participating in such events. Since the start of the cooperation KPN and MyVidayo have enabled runners and skaters in a total of 7 different races to record their personalized videos. Currently MyVidayo is busy with upscaling the personalized video system to a setup of over 100 cameras per location and introducing it to other theme parks.
In November MyVidayo will participate at the IAAPA 2007 fair in Orlando.
