Conservancy floats again after the successful annual float trip on the Roaring Fork River. The Basalt-based non profit team is launching a new program that aims to educate people while taking a trip on the water.
For this project the non-profit team will be pairing up with the Whitewater Rafting. The float trips are scheduled for three consecutive Thursdays, starting today June 28.
The trips will be headed by Chad Rudow, the water quality coordinator for the Conservancy. They are targeting individuals and families with kids ages 8 and up. The trips cost $47 for adults and $35 for children.
Only one raft will be available for this trip and could only fit around 8 to 10 people. Interested participants are advised to call Whitewater Rafting at 945-8477 for reservations.
