Rafting accident victim Sari Starr thanked her rescuers from the Boise River at the city's council meeting, Tuesday.
It was an emotional encounter as Starr expressed her gratitude to the policemen, EMS personnel and firefighters who contributed in saving her life.
Two weeks earlier, Starr and her grandson was involved in an accident during their rafting trip at the Boise River. The woman was underwater for quite sometime and had resuscitated by her rescuers.
Meanwhile, local leaders praised the three agencies involved in the rescue for demonstrating great inter-agency communication. Aside from Starr's gratitude the rescuers also received a special commendation from the city of Boise for their courageous efforts.
