Good news for whitewater rafting enthusiasts - the Kali River is once again open for rafting after the Forest Department withdrew their order to halt whitewater activities in the river.
According to a report in the Hindu, an online edition of India’s National Newspaper, the said department sent a letter to Southern River Adventures informing them that they are now permitted to resume normal rafting operation in the river.
The letter also reveals that the permission to resume rafting operation along the river was granted after the locals withdrew their complaints against the aforementioned rafting outfitter.
Meanwhile, the Hindu report also reveals that the Southern River Adventures is expected to resume operations starting first week of November.
