Renowned rafting outfitter Outdoor Adventure River Specialists or OARS recently received top honors from National Geographic Adventure Magazine.
The writers and editors of the distinguished magazine named OARS as the Best River and Sea Outfitter on Earth for 2008. The magazine commended the outfitter for their excellent customer service as well as for consistently advocating humanity’s impact on the environment through their services.
OARS is the only rafting outfitter in North America that is 100 percent carbon neutral. The company was first established way back in 1969. OAR’s rafting trips garnered several awards throughout the years. Aside from the aforementioned citation, the company also received Outside Magazine’s 2007 Trip of the Year award.
