Aleksandr Zverez, a survivor of the rafting tragedy in China, married his girlfriend at their hometown in Kazan, Russia’s Republic of Tatarstan.
The 35-year old Zverez was one of the two survivors from the Yurungkash River tragedy, where three Russian men died after their raft turned over in the treacherous rapids. One man remains missing from the said trip.
According to Zverez, thoughts of his future bride got him through the tragedy. He also added that his recent marriage is the realization of his dreams.
Meanwhile, Zverez’s bride promised to accompany her husband if he attempts to embark on another rafting trip. However, rafting is clearly out of their honeymoon plans as the couple leaves for Egypt.
