THURSDAY, 27 MARCH 2008
The Tahoe City Public Utility District has recently drafted a letter to show their support for the proposed ordinance that would permit Placer County officials to post an alcohol ban on the Truckee River.
The proposal and rafting legislation will be imposed from the Tahoe City Outlet to the Alpine Meadows bridge.
Other bodies that support the said alcohol ban include two licensed rafting companies, the River Ranch Lodge, the North Lake Tahoe Resort Association, and the US Forest Service.
The Truckee River ordinance was submitted as a Senate Bill and authored by Senator Dave Cox.
